Construction of an adaptable cultural facility with an auditorium, cinema, and opera retransmission.
As part of the PNRQAD program (National Program of Reclassification for Ancient Degraded Neighbourhoods), the town of Carpentras wants to renovate several buildings to give a new impulse to the city center during the day and at night.
Despite the presence of cultural facilities in/near the historical center, the city has noted, in light of the needs and requests it has received from the population, the absence of medium-sized venues for shows, meetings, and seminars. Currently, there is no 250-seat capacity venue in the city’s offer.

The town of Carpentras has the opportunity to revitalize the northern part of the city center with a new cultural venue for the district’s residents, the city, and the urban area. The project is a multi-disciplinary facility with a performance hall, a cinema, a socio-cultural venue, and a restaurant.

The “Carpentras PNRQAD Îlot Plan Porte d’Orange” project’s auditorium is highly ambitious and technically advanced, enabling it to accommodate a wide range of multidisciplinary programming. The uses specified in the initial program have been modified, giving this venue a cultural activity, with the possibility of retransmitting video content such as live or recorded opera broadcasts, as well as cinematographic content.
